Do not make a deal with another customer at the counter
If you overhear what someone is selling, that is not an invitation. Side deals in the aisle put the dealer in an ugly spot and make other customers uncomfortable.
If you set a time, be on it

Tell them if a coin is damaged, cleaned, or already graded
Hiding a problem wastes time and trust. “This one was cleaned” or “this already came back from PCGS” is useful. Dealers would rather adjust than feel tricked. Honesty on the small things makes the rest of the visit easier.
Do not ask them to come out to the car
Bring the coins inside. A dealer should not leave the store to look at a trunk. It is a safety issue for them and for you. If the lot is heavy, make two trips or ask if they have a cart. The work happens at the counter.
